Our new studio is ready. Evan and I constructed a platform for building machines and mounting equipment. A separate desk will be used for parts fabrication and overhead video for our tutorials.

Two layers of curtains provide a soft box of natural lighting during the day, and we have plenty of room for cameras, extra lights, and backdrops. We ordered several film-grade LED lights after our 240 FPS testing revealed just how badly standard LED lights flicker when recorded at high frame rates.

Evan’s original Rube Goldberg machine, which looked enormous sitting on our kitchen island, is absolutely tiny in the new space. I envision some epic builds in our future. To test the new setup, we are creating our first YouTube short using this machine before moving on to our next build.
